VOLUNTEER CNU is a service program for CNU students involved in clubs, organizations, greek life, and residence life, who would like to serve one community organization for a minimum of 16 hours over the course of a semester.  Completion of this program is regarded as an official service accomplishment which can be included in resumes or on graduate school applications.  Please see registration information below.  

VOLUNTEER CNU: SPECIAL EVENTS is a listing of one time or short term service opportunities.  To view the list, or to add your own event listing, please click HERE.  If you would like the Center to maintain hours served at these special events, please be sure to submit a time sheet with verifiable signatures.

VOLUNTEER CNU REGISTRATION

1) Search our SERVICE DATABASE, contact an agency, and cofirm volunteer placement.

2) Register Online for your service.

3) Print out a Time Sheet and keep it updated throughout the semester .

4) Complete and Submit the Reflection/Evaluation prior to Exam Week

What are the benefits of participating in Volunteer CNU?
The benefits vary.  For some, the opportunity to give back to the community and connect with citizens of our city is personally satisfying.  For others, the desire is to gain experience which can be used to determine a field of study, or career path- either way, completion of this program could certainly be added to your resume.   Whatever your reason for enrolling, the important thing to know is that you will learn a great deal from your experience and most likely will develop meaningful relationships with those you serve.

You may volunteer at any ONE of CNU’s accepted agencies found on the SERVICE DATABASE

Will extensions be given for any deadlines?
Only under extenuating circumstances will extensions be given for the enrollment deadline. If you do not submit an enrollment form by the deadline you will not be able to participate in Volunteer CNU this semester. If you do not submit your time sheet by the deadline, you will not receive credit for your service hours.
